Solana Mobile unveils SKR token plans, confirms Seeker shipping date
Quick Take Solana Mobile has unveiled plans to launch its own token, SKR, and introduce its decentralized architecture called TEEPIN. The firm also confirmed a shipping date for its highly anticipated second crypto smartphone, “Seeker,” of Aug. 4.

Solana Mobile, a subsidiary of blockchain developer Solana Labs, has unveiled its decentralized architecture, TEEPIN, and plans for a native token, SKR, while confirming an Aug. 4 shipping date for its highly-anticipated second crypto smartphone, "Seeker."
To support Solana Mobile's expansion to more hardware makers and decentralize its web3 ecosystem, TEEPIN (Trusted Execution Environment Platform Infrastructure Network) will introduce a three-layer architecture enabling secure, trustless mobile access for developers, users, and manufacturers, according to a statement on Wednesday.
"TEEPIN represents the next evolution in mobile — a framework where trust isn't granted by a central authority but verified through cryptography," Solana Labs co-founder and CEO Anatoly Yakovenko said. "By leveraging secure hardware that already exists on modern smartphones and governing access on-chain, we're unlocking open innovation, platform ownership, and a decentralized future for mobile."
SKR is designed to power economics, incentives, and ownership across the ecosystem, and will go directly to builders and users, the team said on X.
"Aligning incentives is essential to building a truly decentralized and self-sustaining mobile ecosystem," Solana Mobile General Manager Emmett Hollyer said. "It transforms the traditional mobile business model by giving stakeholders actual ownership in the platform. Instead of being passive consumers in someone else's walled garden, users, developers, and hardware manufacturers become active stewards of a community-owned digital infrastructure."
Shipping Seeker
Previously dubbed "Chapter Two" when the stealth phase of the cheaper successor to its popular Solana Saga device was launched in January, Solana Mobile claims presales for the new phone have now surpassed 150,000 units across 57 countries at an "early adopter" price of $500.
Seeker includes a hardware Seed Vault, Genesis Token, and new features like Seed Vault Wallet, Seeker ID, and an upgraded Solana dApp Store with improved onchain UX.
